Seedance is ByteDance's family of video models. Zero Kit runs several generations of it in one editor, from the long-take Seedance 2.5 to the lighter Seedance 1.0.
ByteDance's Seed team builds Seedance as a line of text-to-video and image-to-video models. Each generation added something: Seedance 1.0 brought smooth multi-shot video from a prompt or an image, Seedance 1.5 Pro added sound generated together with the picture, Seedance 2.0 made the model multimodal with camera direction written in plain language, and Seedance 2.5 is built for longer, story-length takes with precise use of references.
On Zero Kit every version runs from the same editor, so you can move a prompt from one to another without rewriting it. They differ in resolution, clip length, reference options and price per second, and the table below reads all of that from the live model list. Videos are charged per second of output, at the rate of the version and resolution you pick.
Seedance works from a written prompt, a reference image or both. A prompt that reads like a shot description — who is in frame, what they do, how the camera moves and what the light looks like — gets the most out of every version. The same prompt run on two versions is also the quickest way to see how far the newer models have come.

Pick Seedance 2.5 when one shot has to run long, or when you want to steer it with several images, videos and audio clips. It is the newest version; check its rate in the table and save it for the final take.
For directed short clips: Seedance 2.0
Seedance 2.0, with its Fast and Mini versions, suits short clips where camera moves and several moving subjects matter. Test with Mini or Fast and render the best prompt on Seedance 2.0.
For budget and practice: Seedance 1.5 Pro or 1.0
